About Silver Care

Silver Care represents the biggest innovation in toothbrushes since nylon bristles.

The Silver Care range of toothbrushes has bristles embedded in the unique pure Silver- Plated head. On contact with water the silver head releases active ions that reduce the bacteria that otherwise remains on traditional toothbrushes. This antibacterial process is natural and continuous. The toothbrush is subject to inevitable bacterial contamination determined by contact with the microorganisms found in the oral cavity. The head of the toothbrush, due to its complex structure, is particularly susceptible to more substantial contamination, which leaves it with an infective charge for the next use. Clinical studies examined the residual microbic contamination by Streptococcus Mutans (the most important cavity-forming microorganism) after daily use; comparing a traditional toothbrush to the Silver Care toothbrush with its silver-plated head. The data obtained highlights the antibacterial activity of the silver ions deposited on the surface of the toothbrush head after normal domestic use (see graph).

• The Silver Care system toothbrush features include a compact silver plated head, ergonomic non slip handle and is available in soft, medium and hard.
• The Silver Care Plus toothbrush which provides all the features of the system toothbrush, has the additional benefit of being sold with a silver plated removable head and an additional silver plated spare head.
• The Silver Care Junior toothbrush has been designed using the silver plated head but has been sized especially for little hands and mouths. For use of children aged between two – seven years old.
• The Silver Care Teen Toothbrush has been designed using the silver plated head but has been especially sized for older children. For use of children aged between seven – twelve years old.
• Silver Care Dental Floss is a fine mint flavoured dental floss, treated with fluoride and silver nitrate.
